AmazingICT has 11 key ideas to help you develop and deliver innovative and engaging lessons.
These ideas can be adapted for many different subject areas to offer a broad and balanced, cross-curricular approach.
AR/VR
Bring your lessons to life by using Augmented Reality in the classroom. As a starting point, look at QuiverVision - colour the pictures, then trigger the object to come alive by using the QuiverVision app.

3D Modelling/ Printing
Design anything you want in 3D using CAD software. Many are free and online. At a starting point, look at TinkerCAD and BlocksCAD. Refer to our 3D page for more ideas, inspiration and how to print!
Use Of Video
record video on iPads using Clips; edit content using iMovie and create greenscreen videos using DoInk Greenscreen app
Scratch Jnr & Scratch
These free platforms are great for coding. Starting with Scratch Jnr in KS1, children can progress to Scratch in KS2 and beyond. They are child friendly, really intuitive and there is a wealth of finished projects all waiting to be explored. Children can access Scratch at home so they can carry on coding! AmazingICT has over 1000 projects to get you started.
Blogging & Vlogging
Ask a child what their dream job is and you might hear, ‘Youtuber!’ Steer their interest by creating their own Vlogs on Clips or Greenscreen then share the children’s work with the inbuilt blog function on Seesaw
QR Codes
Really easy and quick to make using sites like qrstuff - on an ipad, you simply hover the camera over the QR code and it will read the code and launch the content. That content could be anything linked to work, videos, websites etc. You can use these both in lessons and to add an extra dimension to your newsletter and displays. Why not try using plickers in class where children can use codes as a voting system!
Animation
2D or 3D Animations are easy to make using apps like iMotion or I can animate
Podcasts
A very popular source of entertainment is via podcasts. Use the voice recorder on an ipad, or record the podcast over a platform like soundcloud. Check out the AmazingICT podcast
Build A Website
There is literally a website for everything. We use web pages to search for a lot of content. Create your own website using W3Schools, Google Sites or Trinket and allow children to delve into line code by using HTML for the structure and CSS to design the page!
Robotic & Physical Kit
Engage children in the world of code by using robotics or physical equipment. With so much out there, check out our robotics page for more advice!
Quizzes
Really engaging with the children and a great tool for assessment. Use platforms like Kahoot, Quizlet, or even Microsoft/Google Forms. Host those quizzes over platforms like Nearpod or even create a video quiz using edpuzzle!
